The USPTO has official regulations, but at the end of the day a person is examining your application and you need to keep them convinced. By simply keeping your illustrations consistent throughout the application, you can prevent concerned reexaminations.\u00a0\u00a0Patent illustrations\u00a0are drawn in a variety of styles, fonts, line weights, arrows etc and this is one of those situations where style does count.
